Duro today announced that Anasa Scott, a consultant and instructor with extensive fund development and strategic planning experience, is joining the Duro Workforce Advisory Board.
Since 2001 Anasa has convened and managed public and private partnerships on affordable housing, home ownership, economic development and community-based education in under-served communities throughout New York City.
In 2008 she co-founded Greenproofing, a consultancy focused on sustainability initiatives serving non-profit organizations and social enterprises. She was the 2010 NY Met Life Leader in Residence for Emerging African American Issues at the Colin Powell School — City College of New York.
Anasa currently teaches in the Economics department at the City College of New York and in the MS Strategic Design and Management Program at Parsons the New School of Design, where she is currently conducting participatory research in West Harlem and South Bronx with a focus on city planning and rezoning.
